Welcome to the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study Website
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) San Antonio District is in the process of putting together a task force to review the findings of the initial New Braunfels Outer Loop Study. The decision was prompted by questions and/or concerns raised by the public regarding the process and some of the data. As a result, the study website and hotline (866-704-1114) have been reopened and are available as a source of information and opportunity to provide feedback. The initial New Braunfels Outer Loop Study was conducted from April 2007 to July 2008. For a history of the study please visit the Study History tab on this website.

The Final New Braunfels Outer Loop Study Report is now available for download. The Final New Braunfels Outer Loop Study Report details the efforts of the study. The purpose of the study was to conduct the necessary planning and analysis needed to identify a corridor for the possible development of a New Braunfels Outer Loop.

Meeting Information
TxDOT is holding monthly meetings of the New Braunfels Outer Loop Task Force at the New Braunfels Civic Center. For more information on these meetings including the agenda, photos, minutes and other handouts distributed at the meetings, please visit the Public Involvement tab. All meetings are open to the public who is invited to attend and observe the proceedings. Time will be allocated for public comments at each meeting and comment cards will be available for public feedback.

TxDOT Convenes Task Force to Review New Braunfels Outer Loop Study Findings
The Outer Loop Task Force is comprised of some of the members of the two previous study work groups – the Community Work Group and the Technical Work Group – as well as additional study stakeholders identified by TxDOT, the City of New Braunfels, Comal and Guadalupe Counties. The primary focus of the task force is to review the process utilized by consultants to develop the study recommendation to ensure the accuracy of the data collected and that the screening and evaluation tools were applied consistently throughout all parts of the study area.
All meetings will be open to the public.
